Visit Augustean age Serino Acqueduct

Archeological area

Naples is always a continuous discovery, even for its own citizens because of its vertical architectural stratification that hides (or as sometimes happens reveals) treasures and places of great charm. One of these is absolutely the Roman aqueduct of Serino, an immense work of Roman engineering that had the task of solving all the water problems of the city.

As with many other wonders, its discovery is dictated by chance, it was in fact September 2011 when under the foundations of a building in the Health District in what had become a deposit of sediments that were clearly observed and recognized of the Roman arches. From there begins the work of the association VerginiSanità that from that moment began to take care of the protection of the good and its dialogue with the territory through exhibitions, conferences and study days.
